Big Brother Season 26 - Episode 28 - JANKIE World, HoH Competition & Nominations

Recommended Posts

Previously on Big Brother, Kimo, T'kor, and Rubina were a strong trio, and Angela's paranoia made her think they were aligning with Quinn and Leah. After Angela spread her conspiracy theory to Chelsie, Makensy hatched a plan for a backdoor.

At the Veto meeting, Makensy saved the Mom and the kid from Oklahoma ended up on the blocklahoma. Quinn thought he had the votes with the two nominees being top targets. But at the live eviction, he only had 2, and Leah's crush was crushed.

With Daddy Long Hair on his way to the Jury House, AINSLI also announced she would leave a Junior Artificial Neuro-Kinetic Intelligence Entity in charge. Tonight, the BBAI twist becomes twisted. Plus, who will become the new HoH and who will they nominate?

Find our right now on Big Brother!

As the Houseguests wondered what this new BB AI Twist would be, Leah found herself on the wrong side of the vote again, losing two of her closest allies in consecutive weeks. Feeling isolated, she told Makensy and Angela she wasn’t ready to discuss the outcome. Angela wanted her to know she voted to keep him.

Angela, however, told Makensy, Cam, and Chelsie that she had also wanted Quinn out but thought the majority was voting the other way and wanted to be with the House. Chelsie pushed back, accusing Angela of repeating the same story each week, saying privately that Angela owes T'kor and Rubina an apology.

Angela overheard T’kor, Rubina, and Kimo whispering in the Living Room, blaming Quinn for blowing his own game up, so she confronted them, arguing that voting Kimo out was in the House's best interest and that their trio posed a significant threat. She added that she knew they were going to nominate her, so it didn’t matter much what she said.

Kimo says privately that Angela is threatening them and has to stop. Kimo tells her it won't be awkward. T'kor says Angela cannot be trusted. Rubina tells T'kor Angela is a bitch, and that Cam, Makensy, and Chelsie are also a group. Angela is not on either side.

The Houseguests were introduced to their temporary A.I. companion, JANKIE, who looks like a floating bot in the PROTO Hologram chamber with antennae for ears. JANKIE promised a week full of fun activities. JANKIE asks who loves Ice Cream and Pizza, and all the Houseguests raise their hands. What about singing and dancing? They all cheer. You can find all that at JANKIE World, they are told, and they are all invited. Get ready for the best time ever!

The Houseguests are all excited and looking forward to a break from the game. Upon entering the backyard, they found a carnival set up with games, treats, the pool filled with rubber ducks, and a dance floor, only to realize they had been locked outside for the week, stuck in “JANKIE World” with no escape from the carnival.

The garage door to the inside of the house is lowered as the reality of JANKIE World set in. It's going to be ice cream, pizza, games, and sing-a-longs all week long, JANKIE says.

To kick things off, the Houseguests are taught JANKIE's theme song. They have to sing along every time he plays it: J A N K I E, JANKIE JANKIE You love me. JAN KIE, JANKIE JANKIE Let's party. The song repeats and all the Houseguests sing along, except Cam, who wears a face of disbelief at the dystopian nightmare in which he finds himself.

JANKIE introduces the first rule of the week: whenever he calls for the Houseguests to sing or dance, they have to sing the theme song or go to the dance stage to party. To demonstrate, JANKIE says Dance Party, and the HG all go to the checkerboard dance stage to dance to a synth-beat.

The Houseguests learned they would eat only ice cream and pizza for every meal, sleep in sleeping bags on cots, shower in an outdoor public shower, and use an outdoor toilet. They also have to wear officially licensed JANKIE World shirts and ball caps,

JANKIE tells the Houseguests his favorite food in the whole wide world is SMORES, and then kicks off the Getting Toasted HoH endurance competition, where they had to hold an oversized marshmallow over an "open fire", using only a (flimsy) stick.

The last Houseguest to drop their marshmallow will be a Happy Camper and the new Head of Household. But first, they have to build the HoH competition in a team-building exercise. The oversized marshmallow is pressed against a small horizontally mounted disc with a flimsy rod. If the rod slips or the marshmallow slides off the disc, the Houseguest is eliminated.

Isn't this fun, JANKIE asks, I love having best friends!

As outgoing HoH, Chelsie is sitting to the side, eating a marshmallow. A few minutes in, JANKIE asks if the Houseguests are having fun and they give a lukewarm "yeah", possibly fearing angering the Jr AI Bot. Why did the cookie go to the doctor, he asks. Because he was feeling crumby!

T’kor was the first to drop her marshmallow, bowing out after 28 minutes.

Why did the cookie-cutter get in a fight, JANKIE asks? Because he had a chocolate chip on his shoulder. At 10:30 pm, JANKIE says he loves them all a choco-lot! Leah doesn't get it.

Kimo says his back, knees, feet, eyes, and brain hurt. He loses focus at one hour and 10 minutes, dropping his marshmallow. It's now up to Rubina for one of the Trio to win.

Angela looks comfortable, promising to pee if she has to. Leah is focusing on keeping pressure on her stick in the center of the marshmallow to prevent it from slipping.

What has two antennae and 8 best friends, JANKIE asks? Rubina flicks her eyes trying to figure out the riddle. JANKIE, he answers! Cam sighs deeply, resigned to his fate.

11:45 pm passes and Makensy says privately she is experiencing back pain standing up for long periods. She can't believe Angela is doing better than she is.

Don't pull a Kimo and T'kor, T'kor calls out, and Kimo gives her a dirty look.

Makensy's marshmallow slips but she's able to save it. However, her stick is on the edge of the sugar puff. She drops out at 2 hours and 28 minutes, leaving four competitors in the running. That was a flame-out, JANKIE says jovially.

Leah is counting on Angela to win if she can't. Kimo needs Rubina to win to protect himself and T'kor. Chelsie is relying on Cam to win and protect her. Nobody is rooting for Leah or Angela to win.

With only four Houseguests left, deals started flying. Angela offered to drop if Rubina guaranteed she and Cam wouldn’t be nominated, but Cam was upset that she included his name, so no deal.

After five hours (2:46 am), all four Houseguests remained. T’kor asks Rubina how to say 5 hours in her language, and this distracts Rubina, causing her to drop at 5 hours, 1 minute. Leah and Angela were stunned; Rubina was distraught, the weight of the whole season crashing down on her. Privately, T'kor is more worried about her game rather than any guilt for Rubina losing concentration.

Leah, Angela, and Cam continued through 5:40 am, and Angela told Cam her deal still stands, and that she would not put him up. Leah says y'all want to drop so bad. Cam protests they're the ones trying to make a deal. Your legs are getting shaky, she trash-talks him. Angela proposes that they simply agree to not put each other up because they've lasted the longest. They all agree on that.

Angela is excited to be wheeling and dealing, but nobody gives in. Privately, Angela says she has a deal for safety but she might as well push herself to see how far she can go.

JANKIE congratulates them for toasting for 8 hours and decides to celebrate by playing his song 8 times! The remaining 3 try to maintain focus while singing the JANKIE song.

As daybreak approached at the nine-hour mark, Cam told Leah he could go as long as it took. Angela decided to trust their Remaining 3 pact and to step down gracefully, having already won HoH twice. Even though she was sure she could go a lot longer, she officially dropped at the 9-hour and 43-minute mark.

Cam is bemused and Leah looks relieved, snapping her fingers in appreciation. It doesn't escape T'kor's notice that if Cam and Leah stick to Angela's deal, it puts her, Kimo, and Rubina at greater risk.

To speed up the competition, Cam and Leah agreed, without prodding from JANKIE, to compete by balancing on one leg. While Leah rests her left foot on her right inner thigh, Cam holds his right foot out behind him. Smiling, she moves her foot into the same position as Cam.

Chelsie doesn't understand why Cam is making the competition more difficult and speculates he's choosing Leah over her. She gets up and turns her back to the competition.

Cam uses his right foot to scratch his left calf, and at 9 hours and 55 minutes, loses his balance, making an excited Leah the new HoH!

Feeling like she had no secure footing in the game, Leah was relieved to finally gain power as HoH. Cam felt safe with Leah despite his loss, and Angela hoped their public deal would protect her as well. Kimo didn't know where Leah's head was.

Before they could celebrate the end of the competition, however, the JANKIE theme song began and the Houseguests had to start singing.

Leah says privately that it is great to finally have some security in the House. There are some groups she wants to separate.  Cam thinks not winning could benefit his game. Angela tells Leah she's glad she'll get a letter and photos from home. She's grateful to get a break this week.

Chelsie was worried Leah might want payback against her. Makensy, however, felt more secure after Leah quickly asked for her thoughts. She says simply, "Trio."  Elaborating, she suggests T'kor and Kimo as the first two out.

Rubina plans to sleep in her bathing suit. Makensy does not like being outside. Chelsie says the weather is hot, the shower is cold, the restrooms stink, and there is nothing healthy to eat. She compares it to Dyre Fest on Big Brother Season 24. Kimo waves the lid of the ice cream bin to get cool air, while Cam sticks his head inside the ice freezer.

JANKIE announces an Ice Cream party and the Houseguests rouse themselves. Kimo describes JANKIE as a toddler from hell. The ice cream is melting (wonder why, Kimo). Don't forget the toppings, adds urgently.

JANKIE announces a pizza party and orders them to enjoy it! Isn't this fun, he asks?

Next is a Sing-A-long Party. Leah says her throat is on fire from all the sugar. Dance Party! The Houseguests give a low-energy dance effort, so JANKIE says, "Again!"

T'kor is sleep dancing. She heads over to the Ring Toss game and starts tossing rings. I can't do this anymore, she confesses, and it's only been one day!

Using the backyard balcony as a private HoH area, Leah sat down with Chelsie, who offered a guarantee of safety next week in exchange for avoiding nomination this week. Leah thought that since Chelsie didn't put her on the block last week, maybe she'd work with her instead of against her.

Leah told Chelsie that targeting the trio was her best option. Chelsie agreed as the trio controlled the majority of the House with their 3 votes. It would be better for T'kor, Leah reasoned, if they were broken up. Chelsie says especially with the deals you made, you have an easy path to success.

Rubina attempted to convince Leah to work with the trio, but Leah wasn’t swayed, viewing herself as an obvious extra wheel. Both Cam and Makensy suggested Rubina and Kimo as nomination targets, while Angela recommended T’kor and Rubina, believing that T’kor would be unbeatable in the end. Angela told Leah that even though she knew Leah loved T'kor, she's never touched the block.

Privately, Leah says Rubina's name has been thrown up a lot, and Kimo's been up the last 2 weeks, making him an easy nomination again. Leah also worried about T'kor's social game and could beat anyone in a Final 2. The question was which of those three she should try to take out?

The Houseguests are sleeping when JANKIE announces the Nomination Game!  Leah has six bottles with each of the Houseguests' names on them. She placed ring-toss rings around the bottles representing Rubina and Kimo, signaling that they were her nominees.

T'kor looked stoic. Rubina looked like she was tearing. Kimo looked dejected.

Then JANKIE called for a Dance Party! Everyone must dance, so get groovin' he said.

Privately, Leah explained that the trio was too powerful at this stage of the game, making it a necessary move despite her personal feelings toward them. Rubina admits she never talks game with Leah and threatens Leah next week. Kimo may have lost his mind but not his will to fight.

Next Wednesday at 10 pm, who will win the Veto? Plus, JANKIE has a second Veto up for grabs. How does this new power work? Find out on Big Brother!
