Big Brother Season 26 - Episode 10 - Power of Veto

Recommended Posts

Previously on ‘Big Brother' Cedric's victory in the Head of Household competition sent ripples through the Big Brother house. With the power firmly in his grasp, he set his sights on Angela, the house's primary target. Feeling a pang of sympathy, Cedric also nominated the homesick Kenney. Cedric contemplated a bolder move: nominating Makensy to force her to use her "America's Veto" upgrade power. But caution prevailed. Opting for the safer route, he nominated Tucker as a pawn, hoping to keep his hands clean. Now, all eyes were on the Power of Veto competition. Would it shake up Cedric's carefully laid plans, or would his nominations remain untouched?

With Cedric as Head of Household he had two loyal pawns already on the block-- an easy week. All he needed was for the Veto to stay put, to keep the nominations untouched.

From the DR, Makensy tells us if one of the nominees come down, Cedric could back door her and put her on the block forcing her to use her power.

Quinn tells us that Angela needs to lose the veto competition and the AI competition so she can be kicked out this week.

Kimo was distracted by Tucker's physique and tells him outright that Quinn does have the power. Kimo tells him Quinn can overthrow the HoH and change all three nominations.

It's time to pick players for the PoV competition. Cedric pulls the first chip for Makensy. The next player picked is Leah.

The backyard looks like ancient Myan ruins. The players will have to grab the Ainsley's glowing energy core. The competitors have to navigate a course that has many hanging vines along the path. If the energy core touches the vines, it will drain the core by 5%. Player who completes the course first with the most energy left in the core in the shortest time, wins PoV.

After the competition Rubina gathers the HGs in the living room to announce the winner. Top three finishers (in no particular order) were Makensy, Tucker and Kenney. Makensy came in 3rd place with a 65% charged core. The winner of the PoV is Tucker with 85% left in the core.

In the DR, Kenney said that even though he didn't win the PoV, he is now back in the game and ready to stay in the game.

In the storage room, Tucker tells Cam that it's been three weeks and he needs to shake things up. Tucker tells Cam about Quinns power. Cam is surprised by this knowing that he's in two alliances with Quinn and Quinn never told him about his power. Cam takes his new found intel to Cedric. Cam says they need to get that power out of Quinn soon.

Tucker goes up to the HoH to talk to Kenney, Cam and Cedric. Tucker floats the idea of him staying on the block and getting the chance to get Quinn out. Tucker said Quinn is so tightly knit with everyone and he will just float his way far into the game. Tucker said if he uses the veto and comes down, Quinn goes up, but Quinn could easily win over Kenney and Angela in the arena and he stays over them both. Tucker wants to stay up and help battle it out with Quinn.

At the PoV meeting, Tucker says he has decided to use the PoV - the game has been played too safe and expect the unexpected, He has decided to use the power of veto to save Angela. Everyone is shocked. Tucker calls on Cedric to pick a replacement nominee. Cedric announces, "I'm in a position where I kind of have to do what I have to do, with that being said competitors have to compete, Makensy please take a seat."

Tucker is furious and says to Cedric that he will remember this, and he hopes that he is up there next time battling him in the AI arena. Tucker says Cedric made a stupid move and he hopes he gets a chance to be up on the couch and win that AI arena and come for him.

Tucker leans over and tells Makensy that she was not supposed to be up there. Tucker heads to the front to adjourn the meeting, but Makensy stops him and says the meeting is not over.

Makensy says she has a veto, pulls out America's Veto, and is activating it now and will save herself from the block. Ainsley appears in the hologram box and explains that the HoH will not be naming a replacement but America will vote to name the replacement. HGs with the most votes will be notified moments before the AI Arena is to begin.

America's vote is now open. Go to https://CBS.com/bbvote to vote for the person you want to be nominated for eviction. 10 maximum votes per person, accepted up until 9AM BBT: PT August 8, 2024.

The Big Brother house was a buzz. Lisa Weintraub, the fiery chef with a knack for edible glitter, had been evicted in a landslide vote, a solitary voice, Kenney's, dissenting in the cacophony of betrayal. Her departure sent ripples through the house, a seismic event that realigned allegiances and exposed hidden agendas.

Into this charged atmosphere stepped Cedric, the newly crowned Head of Household. His target was clear: Angela, the house's resident tempest. Beside her, he placed Kenney, a loyal soldier caught in the crossfire. The air crackled with anticipation as Cedric weighed his options. Makensy, a wildcard with an upgraded "America's Veto" power, was a tempting target. A nomination could force her hand, exposing her advantage. But the risk was high. A misstep could turn the house against him. In the end, caution prevailed. Tucker, a more predictable pawn, was chosen to complete the trio.

Now, all eyes turn to tonight's Veto competition. Will it be a game-changer, or just another chapter in this ever-shifting saga? The house holds its breath.

Cedric basked in the HoH glow, the weight of his nominations feeling lighter than usual. With Angela and Kenney on the block as willing sacrifices, he anticipated a smooth week. His hopes were pinned on the Veto winner leaving the nominations untouched, sparing him the headache of a replacement nominee. This is what is called Foreshadowing.

Meanwhile, Makensy's mind raced. A nagging suspicion had settled in her gut, that Cedric had his sights set on her as a backdoor target. The thought chilled her. Her counterattack was clear: win the Veto. If she could secure the Power of Veto, she could shield herself from the chopping block and potentially disrupt Cedric's plans. The stage was set for a high-stakes battle, with the fate of several houseguests hanging in the balance.

Tucker couldn't shake the feeling that Angela was dropping breadcrumbs. Her casual mentions of Quinn and the game's mechanics during their chat a few days ago were starting to look less like idle chatter and more like deliberate hints. A second power-up for Quinn? The thought turned his stomach. Having realized Lisa did not have an upgrade power after he pushed for her eviction, he had to uncover the correct threat.

His gut instinct screaming that he was onto something, Tucker decided to run his suspicions by Kimo and Kimo confirmed his theory with a solemn nod. What followed was a chilling explanation of the power-up's capabilities. Tucker listened intently, a cold resolve growing within him. Armed with this knowledge, he felt like a hunter who'd just discovered the lion's lair. If he won the veto this week, he had the ammunition to dismantle one of these dangerous upgrades and level the playing field.

Kenney was once again voicing his desire to leave the house due to missing his family. T'kor was unsure if this was genuine or a strategic move, given Kenney's recent challenge wins. During a conversation with Cedric, Kenney revealed a potential game plan: winning the veto and using it to remove Angela from the block, hoping the houseguests would then evict him and send him home to his family.

During a conversation with Cedric, Kenney revealed a potential game plan: winning the veto and using it to remove Angela from the block, hoping the houseguests would then evict him and send him home to his family.

When it came time to pick the Veto players, Cedric drew the chips of Makensy and Leah to compete. The Veto competition, dubbed "Recharge My Core," challenged the six players to navigate a jungle-like obstacle course while carrying a a discharging power core. The goal was to reach the end without touching any vines, and the player with the highest battery percentage at the finish would win. Cedric managed to make it through with 45% battery, Makensy with 65%, and Leah with 35%. Angela struggled, finishing with only 15%. However, the real competition was between Tucker and Kenney, who both seemed to have mastered the course and were neck and neck for the win.

Tucker emerged victorious from the Veto competition, boasting an impressive 85% battery level in his core. With the Power of Veto secured, he sought out Cam in the storage room to share what he believed was a crucial piece of information: Quinn possessed an upgrade power capable of hijacking the HoH’s nominations. Cam was visibly unsettled by the revelation, given his loyalty to Quinn. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Cam relayed the information to Cedric.

Determined to make an informed decision about the replacement nominee, Cedric confronted Quinn with pointed questions about his potential power. However, Quinn proved to be a skilled liar, deflecting Cedric's inquiries and falsely attributing the power to Lisa. Joseph, unaware of the true situation, unwittingly supported Quinn's fabricated story.

Despite the bombshell about Quinn's power, Cedric was still leaning towards his original plan: nominating Makensy. His strategy was to reassure her of safety, hoping she would choose to use her power against Kenney or Angela. This would eliminate the need for a third nomination, a scenario Cedric wanted to avoid.

Tucker approached Kenney and Cedric with a bold, unexpected strategy: use the Veto on Angela instead of himself and name Quinn as her replacement. His reasoning was they could eliminate Quinn, one of the strongest players in the house, that week. He proposed leaving himself and Kenney on the block against Quinn, believing they had the necessary votes to send Quinn home. Additionally, Tucker expressed his desire to face Quinn directly in the AI Arena, rather than relying on Angela to defeat him.

At the Veto Ceremony, Tucker stunned the house when he used his Veto to remove Angela from the block, leaving her and the other houseguests dumbfounded. Despite Cedric's reluctance to fully endorse the plan, Tucker thought he could force Cedric to follow through with Quinn as the replacement nominee.

"It's time to get the competitors out," Tucker declared defiantly. "That's my decision, and I'm sticking with it."

Unwilling to have his HoH bend to Tucker's impulsive move, Cedric asserted his authority by naming Makensy as the replacement nominee. This decision did not sit well with Tucker, who expressed his strong disapproval, labeling Cedric's choice as a "stupid ass idea" that he wouldn't forget. This exchange marked the beginning of what appeared to be a new and volatile rivalry within the house. Despite the tension, Tucker took the time to apologize to Makensy, explaining that she hadn't been part of his original plan.

Just as the Veto Ceremony was about to conclude, Makensy made a dramatic move by activating her "America's Veto" upgrade, successfully removing herself from the block. AINSLI appeared on the screen to announce that America would be voting on a replacement nominee, with the results to be revealed mere moments before the highly anticipated live AI Arena Battle on eviction night.

The aftermath of the Veto Ceremony more tense than the Men's 100m race in Paris. Tucker and Makensy, feeling betrayed by Cedric's decision, vowed to target him next. Meanwhile, Quinn interpreted Tucker's actions as a clear declaration of war. With Tucker seemingly marked as his next target and next week being the last he could use his own upgrade power, Quinn realized he might have to make a preemptive strike of his own.

Who will America vote to become the third nominee to face off in the live AI Arena Battle? Will America side with Tucker and send Quinn to the chopping block anyway? Or will viewer votes put someone else at risk of eviction? And who will win the AI Arena Battle, saving themselves from facing the eviction vote? Your guess, and vote, is as good as mine.
