Big Brother Season 26 - Episode 4 - Power of Veto

Recommended Posts

The house was reeling from Angela’s nominations. Kenny, Lisa, and Kimo were on edge, their fates hanging in the balance. For the nominees, attention quickly shifted to the Power of Veto competition, as they tried to figure out who they could trust to play on their behalf.  A large alliance, The Collective, formed and invited Angela to join, to which she quickly agreed.

Matt's earlier attempt to smooth things over with Angela had not gone over well when she perceived him to be threatening her. Her paranoia soon spun out of control and she began seeing him plotting everywhere, even in her sleep. In an explosive confrontation, she descended the stairs and accused Matt of having angry eyes and of threatening her, which he denied. Angela went further to declare that she saw through the HG who had come to her the night before for an alliance (The aforementioned Collective) and it wasn't going to work.

The Collective collectively wondered what had happened and could not believe Angela had gone off like that. Was their alliance broken after only one night? The episode quickly shifted focus to the Power of Veto competition. The tension was palpable as the houseguests prepared to compete for a chance to save one of the nominees. In a twist this season due to the three nominees, only Angela, as HoH, would draw two chips from the bag. If she pulled her name or the names of the nominees, they would be able to choose any of the other HG to play on their behalf.

Brooklyn and Joseph were chosen to play along with Kimo, Kenny, Lisa, and Angela, who was relieved that Matt would not have a chance to play for Veto as he was her new target.

In a return to the classic Big Brother Spelling Veto, the HG, dressed as Bees (spelling Bees, get it?), the HG had to crawl through honey to find letters to spell a word. The HG with the longest word at the end of the pollination period would win the Power of Veto.

AINSLI, the BB AI, introduced a new twist - the Delete Button. Veto players who found one of three DELETE tile would be able to select a letter that could not be used in any of the words. Any words with vetoed letters would be disqualified.

While nobody attempted to spell TECHNOTRONICS, Lisa emerged from the honeycomb wearing the Golden Power of Veto.

With the power in her hands, the houseguest faced a crucial choice: to use the veto to save herself or to keep the nominations the same and remain in danger of eviction?

Who are we kidding? She saved herself and Angela gleefully nominated Matt to take her place on the chopping block.  Matt, Kenny, and Kimo would face off in a live BB AI Arena battle for a chance to save themselves from facing the first eviction vote of the season.
